Backlog October 2014. Slightly unclear deep orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity with malt, toffee. A bit vinous with both dry fruit and red berries. Flavor is sweet and fruity with ripe fruit, malt, toffee and warming alcohol, the bitterness feels moderate even at 100 IBU. Fine body and long lasting, quite sweet aftertaste. A slightly unusual and complex beer. This was a part of a vertical tasting of Red Horizon 1,2 and 3 made in 2014. Our bottle of #1 was off so I’m using a previous rating for this. Comparing #2 and #3 I prefer # 3 even if # 2 has a better aroma. # 3 feels more complex in taste and seems to balance the sweetness better.

Small fizzy shortlasting head, cloudy orangy dark golden color. Aroma is slightly dry mineraly, bark, dusty raisins, minerals, fruit stones, alcohol, shed, caramel malts, yeast, grass, burnt sugar. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish mineraly, fruit stones, bark, dusty raisins, caramel malts, peat, soil, yeast, burnt sugar, minerals, soil, hints of anise. Medium bitterness, slightly sweet sour-ish medical mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle. Hazy deep amber color with soapy head. Aroma is raisins, figs, mildly oxidized. Taste is raisins, port, earthy. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Good!

Bottle, danke Roman. Dark amber to brown, no head. Wood, light oxidized, caramel, medium body, some DMs, but less than 2. Edition, boozy wood finish.

Bottle shared @ X3 Får Skideren På af Mange-share. Pours clear dark brown with a small offwhite head. Aromas of barley, toffee, caramel, tobacco, soya, dark fruits, smoke. Taste has dark fruits, toffee, clay, earthy notes, tobacco, ash, soya. Fuck me this is bad hahaha.

Bottle. dark amber color. Plum, red berries and rice in the vinous aroma. Malty sweet vinous flavor with red berries, rice, plums, citrus. A good balance in spite of the sweetness. hardly any carbon. Warming alcohol. Lovely.
