Bottle bought from the brewery, number 445/550, somewhere toward the latter end of 2018. This pours with a huge brown and red body, strong carbonation, and big beige head. The aroma is massive barrel and grape funk with some grain notes, sugar, just plowing through all pretentiousness. The flavour is this complex and sweet mix somewhere between grappa and unrefined grains, big and huge and lots of sweetness overall. Medium finish, good mouthfeel. This is fun at least, good to be shared with others, lots of fund sweetness and yeast here that one should not ignore. Go drink. Urp.

Bottle at Weathered, pours a deep dark brown with a tiny head. Aroma brings out candied sugar, light bubblegum, and some tepid barrel character. Flavour is along the same lines, with candied sugar, bubblegum and some barrels. Oaky and lightly sweet. It's not particularly complex but it's very pleasant.

Dark brown. Medium head. On the nose this has alcohol up front, some rich plums/toffee/date sort of dark fruit sugar notes. There's a touch of tartness, a light alcohol note, some toffee sugars, and definitely a lot of fruitiness. Rich raisiny character, not a bad dubbel, if a bit boozy at points.

Draft - Boozy dark fruit and toffee. Deep clear brown with a small white head. Booze, raisin and a decent amount of wood. A bit hot, but will age nicely.

Taster at the brewery. Pours a hazy brown with the same beer. Aroma is some fruitiness, American oak, and bourbon. Similar taste with lots of fruity notes and a bit harsh bourbon. Not very elegant, but good.

Draught at the brewery; 8oz
Dark brown colour. Aroma of dark caramel, bourbon, hint of rum. The malt has a good depth, moderate sweetness level; the booze feeling is a bit too strong, quite nutty; a touch of fennel or anise in the finish is less pleasant than the rest.
Interesting.
