This Belgian-style tripel was aged in bourbon barrels for many months. The resulting booozy beer is robust yet smooth with that classic spicy and fruity Belgian-yeast character.

Poured from 473mL can (2022 vintage). Clear gold with small white head and lots of sediment floaties. Feint apple notes, Belgian yeast, light phenols and oak, boozy, average, but drinkable.

473mL can. Pours clear dirty blonde with small white head. Bourbon, bubblegum, golden raisins. Flavour has a ton of bubblegum sweetness, some golden raisins offering a slightly tart component, hot bourbon on the finish. Pretty unbalanced: the bubblegum from the yeast is too much and clashes with the bourbon. The effort is certainly there, but this feels like an unfinished product.

2022 vintage. 473 ml can. Pours amber with a light head and some suspended particles. Aromas of oak, melons, fruity esters, and toasted malts. Flavors follow same. Not getting much Bourbon influence but the oak and Belgian yeast play well. Very nice except fo the floating stuff…

Oak and florals. Copper pour with decent head. Some orange peel. Lemon. Decent balance here, and competent triple. Can.

473ml can. Pours a hazy amber-gold with a small, creamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, candied sugar, bourbon, oak, Belgian yeast, plum and floral hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, candied sugar, apricot, plum, Belgian yeast and oak in a dry, bourbon warming finish. Full body with a sticky, oily texture and average carbonation. Malt forward and a bit too sweet, but still enjoyable to sip on.

650ml bottle at Erik's. Pours a hazy dirty golden with a white head. Aroma is very fruity with butter scotch and barrel notes. Similar taste. Very lean and smooth body, though.

Bottle - Butterscotch and some barrel boozy notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet, bready, butterscotch and apricot. Typical, but I’m not a fan.
