Tasting at Jamie's, can
Pitch nlack, oily. Aroma of alcohol, tar, chocolate, cinnamon. A bit too roasty for mybtaste, charred, with a high degree of related acidity, liquorice, spices. Weird oily feeling in the finish.
Imperial winter stout, bold but not elegant.

Can - Nice coffee and some cinnamon. Jet black with almost no head. Cinnamon and coffee with a long finish. Maybe a too heavy on the cinnamon.

Tall can at Erik's. Pours a very dark brown with no head. Aroma is coffee, cinnamon, some chocolate. Quite silky with moderate cinnamon and coffee. Pleasant.

Dark brown, lots of cinnamon on the nose, with a fair bit of chocolate. On the palate, it's a bit oily, with again quite a bit of chocolate and cinnamon. This is pretty good. Pretty full body, sweet, quite spicy. The coffee isn't even that pronounced, but the other characters are.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh cinnamon and light cocoa. Flavour is loaded with intense cinnamon upfront, with light toasted coffee, and dry cocoa nibs. Lots of cinnamon dominating this. Fun spiced stout, but not overly complex and kind of a light body.
