Elegant, innovative, complex: Black Tuesday provides a uniquely elevated beer-drinking experience unlike any other. Rich, complex flavor from time spent aging in bourbon barrels mingles effortlessly with distinct notes of crème brûlée, poached figs, and milk chocolate. Bottle sample at, of all places, the Great Arkansas beer festival. Pretty much black. Aroma of roofing tar, huge bourbon. Taste is rough burnt licorice, espresso, more bourbon. Definitely a big beer.

Bottle shared by Chuck - thanks! Pours deep mahogany, bordering on opaque. Small brown head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma is heavy cocoa, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is full sweet and light bitter, heavy chocolate bourbon vanilla with some toffee notes. Medium body, very hot, which is not surprising given the ABV. This is a nice sipper.

Bottle at CapFlu’s Blomster Bash
Dark brown color, no color. The nose is spirited, some chocolate. It expresses the best on the flavor: it’s like a chocolate liquor, sweet, with strong whisky presence.
Excellent.

Bottle - Sweet Whisky and barrel notes, molasses and a very light tartness. Jet black with a thin beige head. Boozy barrel, alcohol heat, chocolate, molasses and a very long sticky sweet finish. Nice, but a bit over hyped.

Brilliant brew. Strong and rich imperial stout, the long bourbon aging give the beer a deep taste of vanilla, cinnamon, some fruits and oak. Lots of alcohol, but it is wel hidden. Amazing.

Bottled @ Zeebra #2, small sample. Viscous, vinous. Alcoholic, roast, coffee. Bit sweet. Very alcoholic. They were able to hide the alcohol in the chocolate rain, but this one is way too alcoholic, which dominates the whole beer. Not really good actually.
