500ml bottle purchased in about 2019 pours a dull pale pinkish light amber. Could hardly coax any head even with an aggressive pour. Expected Flanders light vinegar sour character with a little muted sour cherry. A bit more of the cherry in the flavors and not very sour as far as a Flanders goes. Light malty woodiness and the oak had faded, if there was much to begin with. But it has all faded together is a nice mild melody. Not bad

Tasting at Oakes' Manor
Hazy amber colour. Balsamic sour beer with a good body, some cherry flavour, tiny earthiness in the finish.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark, tart cherries, some oak, and a touch of balsamic. Flavour is along the same lines, with balsamic, dark dried cherries, and some oak. Nicely tart, with a pretty pronounced cherry character. Very nicely constructed.

500ml bottle at Josh&Sunshine place. Pours a bit hazy copper with a white head. Aroma is barrel and cherry notes. Taste is similar with lots of cherries. Quite carbonated. Good.

Amber-brown. Thin head. On the nose, this has a rich balsamic note with a woody, cherryish note. The palate has a rich cherry, moderate tartness, another touch of balsamic, and a balanced malt note. This is really good, that almondy cyanide note from the cherry pit.

Bold red pour with a fizzy tan head. A bit of oak, berry fruit, tart, light earth. Has a mild sweet fruit note underneath. Finish is tangy and oak. It has some of the building blocks of a good Flanders but missing something that would pull it all together and make this a standout brew. As it is, it’s middling.
