Bottle from April of last year. Slight pop on opening, with a bit of smoke. Muddy brown pour. small bubble head. Aroma is malty and sweet, raisins, tobacco. Taste brings sweetness, malty, brown sugar, followed by a slight burn. Woody, earthy, dry. Nice and tasty, could drink this right down, but it's much better to sip and savor. Belated birthday to Double Mountain!

500ml bottle at Josh&Sunshine place. Pours a hazy copper with a tan head. Aroma is bourbon and wood. Taste is similar with lots of bourbon, boozy bitterness, some chocolate. A bit harsh. Quite good.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor
Amber colour, opaque, frothy head. Caramel flavour, moderately sweet, but not much malt depth; very strong bourbon/vanilla character, light earthy touch.
A good beer, but rather unclassy.

Slightly hazy amber. Not much head. There's a bit of a caramel, toffee notes with a bit of a sharp bitterness. It has a rich toffee note, little bit of vanilla, with a nice barrel note. It's good. Not the biggest body for this type of beer, but the flavours are nicely balanced.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark caramel amber with a small beige head. Aroma is loaded with treacle, molasses, dates and bourbon barrels. Flavour is along the same lines, with vanilla, treacle, dark dried fruits, and bourbon. For 13.2%, it's not very alcoholic. Finishes lightly sweet, with a fruity, vanilla-y and bourbony finish. Good stuff.

On Tap at PreFunk Boise slight haze on this amber pour. Nice fine dense light tan head. Very good toasted caramel malt aromas. A little brown sugar and sweetness in the flavros. Moderate bitterness, like it say and mellowed for a while. A hint of the high ABV but not boozy per se' Quite good.

500ml bottle from Tavour shared by my daughter. Nose is toffee, oak, and light vanilla and bourbon. Clear rusty red with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter with contrasting sweetness, fruity, and bourbon with a hint of alcohol warmth. Wish it had a bit more bourbon.
