Can from the lcbo. Dark brown pour, with a small beige head. Aroma is extremely roasty, with some intense nuttiness. Notes of toffee, caramel, peanut brittle, even some hazelnuts. Low to medium bitterness, intense nutty finish. Decent stuff.

This Brown ale poured just that, brown and slightly cloudy with a creamy, brown head. Minimal lacing. Scents include caramel, maple, toasted biscuit and brown sugar. First swig was a little thin with flavours of maple, brown sugar and toast. Finish is a little sweet with roasted malt and toast. Very good.

Pours a copper-amber colour with a big frothy-creamy warm-beige head, pretty good retention and streaky foam lacing. The nose is quite nice with a mix of roasted malts, chocolate notes like cocoa and blended with hints of vanilla. The taste as well is not really sweet with the honey being at bare minimal and having the hops take over in the finish. Mild fruity notes, chocolate, caramel. A smooth body, so goes down quite nicely. A brown ale on the dryer side, not the sweet side.

Can from the LCBO. Clear dark copper under a small short lived beige cap leaving minimal lace. Nose is roast, caramel, nuts, honey and some earth. Medium- caramel and honey sweetness with some light+ chocolate bitterness. Mouth is medium with average carbonation. A little too sweet. 7-/3-/6/3+/12

Draft - Intense nutty notes and toast. Deep clear copper brown with a decent beige head. Nice malty nutty notes and a long creamy finish. Decent.
