6.3% ABV version now in 2024 - can from the brewery pouring a brown colour with a copper hue. The head is light beige, average lasting and leaving some mild wet lacing. Alcohol in the nose with some nuttiness, a tad banana-wheat and caramel malt base. Got some sweetness from the honey at first pour, but kind of faded. Some woodiness come out in the taste with hints of dark fruits, nuts, coffee and toasted barley. Nothing wrong here, but seems a little unbalanced with everything going on here.

This Brown ale poured a deep dark amber colour with a soapy, minimal head. No lacing. Scents include sweet malt, caramel, toast and a little nuts. First swig was quite thin with almost a homebrew flavour with it. Flavours of caramel, coughdrops and toast most prominent. finish is lightly smokey with caramel flavours lingering.
