473 ml can. Aromas of doughy malts, mashed fruit and spicy resin. Flavors of pomegranate, burnt orange, bready malts and resinous hops. Nice

Dark amber. So dark. Very thin head. Overripe fruit dominates the aroma, with orange and pineapple. The palate has the same overripe fruit, and some sticky candy and caramel malts. There's a fair bit of bitterness in the finish, clashing with all of that sweetness. Overall, the execution leaves a lot to be desired, as the malts and hops both came out funny and it tastes like the yeast just sort of crapped out and left this beer completely underattenuated.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Hazy light amber colour. Aroma of caramel, candy, sweaty hops, resins, bit of grains. A bit sticky when compared to modern IIPAs, but not excessive, resinous hops, mildly musky, some orange peel; quite drinkable actually.

Tall can at Brian's. Pours a bit hazy golden with a weak white head. Aroma is lots of pine with malty notes. Similar taste with high piney bitterness. Quite good old-school IPA.

Can - Melon and tropical notes with some caramel notes. Clear copper with a small white head. Tropical sweet malts, touch of sweet sticky syrup and a light bitter finish.

On tap at Brewhall, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is quite abrasive, with perfumery hop oils dominating along with booze. Flavour is really chaotic and abrasive, with perfumey hop oils, alcohol and a trace of tart citric notes. Ugh, this is just not calibrated well. Very poor.
