Bottle Large, rocky, off-white head. Excellent lace. Sparkling, yellow-amber body. Nose of pine and lime. Harshly bitter, lightly vinegar initial flavour. Heavily bitter, lightly vinegar, metallic finish.

A hazy dark orange beer with an enormous white lasting head (atleast when drunk from a tulip). The aroma is rather spicy - I can’t pick up that much, but yeast, corriander, and caraway. The flavor is sweet and rather complex containing notes of honey, oranges, corriander, and other for me unrecognizable spices. The end is both sweet and bitter combined with the alcohol tingling the tongue. The palate is good - especially considering it weighing in at only 6% ABV.

My rating for the Kavijaks edition: Hazy orange with a huge beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of appricot and lighter notes of yeast. The flavor is sweet spicy with coriander standing out, but also with a light fruity touch. 6/3/7/3/13

Bottled. Hazily orange. Livley, firm head. Grassy and very fruity. Sugary and rounded, notes of citrus and lightly sparkling mouthfeel. Good, but less pronounced than other De Dolles.

Golden w/ slight haze and a spreadable, whipped mousse. Dusty, yeasty, light peaches. Cheesey (poacher?) notes scare me. Lively fruits and bready...very dry.

(Drunk under the name Museumbier 2002) Pale yellow with orangey shine, slight haze. Abundant white head, quite tenacious. Nose gives malts, caramel - strange for a rather pale beer. Alcohol and sweet smell too. Smoked, quite obvious touch in the first taste - as if mildly smoked malt were used. Bitter background - hops, this, with a slight citrussy touch. There is some salt in this beer, after some time definitely strong soft cheese. Retronasal rhubarb. Creamy mouthfeel, even despite subdued yeast. Slight tartness, some alcohol. For being the basic blond beer, this beer is as complex as some of the top-offerings of a lot of other breweries

Golden orange color, cloudy. Huge longlasting head, rocky and frothy, white. Smells typically of a De Dolle brew, is it the typical yeast? Bit sour, spicy, fruity, all together, cheesy even. Slightly bitter dry palate, but only slightly. As i like De Dolle Brouwers, this brew is also a special one. I think there should be a style called 'De Dolle'!
