The 2017 harvest blend was made from Marsanne grapes grown at Boushey vineyard in Washington and processed in house at Floodland. The marsanne was re/fermented with skin contact for a week in a tank on a puncheon of bright citrus forward acid beer. It was dry hopped and then put into an oak puncheon. After aging, I pulled young hoppy spelt saison from the open oak fermentor to add freshness and bring the acidity to the level that most complimented the grape aromatics.

Bottle - Perfumy and a touch of apple and bright lemon. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Light soured white grape, lemon, touch of fruity sweetness and a dry finish.

Hazy, light golden-straw colour. No head. Nice brett on the nose, with earthy pedio notes. Some sweetness up front, then fading into tartness, light vinous note, and a touch of leathery brett. Nice complexity. Drinkable, refreshing, excellent quality.
