Bottle shared at home with Johnny. Dark brown to black color, small to average sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, soft roast, chocolate, vanilla, sweetish. Wow, very good this one. Very solid.

Bottle pour, guessing 2018, maybe 2017 vintage based on reviews. Cellar dweller, and worked out nicely in this case. Jet black pour. Lasting cola foam head. Aroma of nutty grains, bready notes, soft chocolate. Thick body, some coffee up front, with lots of nutty grain, whiskey Barrel, cocoa, and a cool vanilla whiskey finish. Well layered and complex stout. Very good all around.

Tastes like double chocolate oreos dipped in bourbon. Bit carby and wish it was thicker but so sweet and tasty.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma bings out lots of smoked bourbon barrels, with toasted caramel and a toasted hazelnut. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of complex bourbon barrels upfront, followed by salted caramel and light toasted nuts. Don't get the chocolate. Love the barrel character here. Excellent.

Aromas are dark malt, cocoa, roast and a whiff of whisky. Flavors are like Nose, mainly sweet with good carbonation. Good body and finish. Fairly well balanced except for the sweetness comes on a little bit too strong. Not a bad beer but nothing too distinctive.
