Dry Five

Draught Small, very fine off-white head over unclear yellow beer with orange sheen. (Root)spices, wood and liquorice, dry malt. Dry indeed. Grassy, herbs. Faint maltsweetness in the finish, good balance. Medium bodied, gristslickness. Not bad. Not spectacular. But professional.

Little cloudy yellow to light beige beer, creamy white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: fruity touch, citrus, some exotic fruits. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: some citrus, grassy touch, bit of grains, nice bitterness. Aftertaste: grains, sourish (wheat?), dry bitterness, some alcohol noticeable (which means it's pretty thin), little watery, hint of yeast bitterness.

Tap at Cafe Briljant, Harlem. Poured a hazy light straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is dry yeast leading to a medium bitter flavour with some weak liqourice on the watery palate. Somewhat refreshing but needs more complexity in the flavour.

Draft at Gollem. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citrus, Belgian yeast, dough, fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.
