Tasting at Brian's; 7.2% ABV
Pours brown with large head, fizzy; the aroma confirms that there may be an infection, some chemicals, not too offensive; the mouthfeel is a bit thin and dry, some earthy dark malts, mild acidity; light anise, this could be from Belgian yeast strains.
Infected but not too bad.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a foamy, large beige head. Aroma has a yeast problem, with some burnt rubber notes (like car tires), metallic, orange peel and burnt dried fruits. Flavour is unfortunately along the same lines, with metallic notes, a little rubber, and burnt dried fruits. Metallic, rubbery and burnt fruity. Right from pouring this beer, right through from smelling to tasting, you know this isn't the beer the brewer intended to produce. Not good.

Hazy light amber-brown, with a thin head. On the nose, there's some phenolic, autolyzed sort of stuff. Is it bottle-conditioned? Because something didn't quite work out. It's still fermenting, so it's cardboardy, overly carbonated, and while there is some light fruit, it's subordinated to a lot of the stuff that probably shouldn't be there.

Bottle - Raisin, date, brown sugar and dark malts. Deep dark brown with a small beige head. Estery Belgian yeasts, Raisin and dark malts with a touch of perfume. Nice.

A reddish copper ale with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light dark fruits, plums, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, sweet fruity caramel malt with light candy sugar, light curacao, smooth. On tap at brewery.
