Taster at the Twin Sails brewery. Pours a hazy dirty golden with a white head. Aroma is very weak with some tropical fruits notes. Taste is much more prominent and pleasant with tropical fruits and hoppy bitterness. Pleasant.

On tap at Brewhall, pours an opaque cloudy peachy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of pithy stone fruits, moderately dank citrus hops, and biscuity malt. Flavour is robust and follows the same lines, with lots of juicy stone fruit pith, dank hops, a bunch of pine, and a dry biscuity malt base. Properly balanced, with low residual sweetness - exactly how I like my IIPAs. Very good.

Draft - Mango and Mandarin orange. Murky yellow gold with a decent white head. Orange peel and light mango with a pithy bitter finish.

2018-08-19, draught at Twin Sails, Port Moody, 7-3-7-4-14=35
Murky blond-orange colour. Orange is prominent in the aroma. The malt base is weaker than other similar beers, maybe drier too; orange peel character, light dank, some juiciness, strong resins, a bit piney too, somehow it doesn't seem to come together very well.
Good.

Murky blond colour. Classic NE IPA (IIPA), not as juicy and tropical as the best ones in town, and with the pithy bitterness that seems a signature of the brewer, but solid and drinkable.
