Pale amber, hazy, thin head. Whackload of cascades. Makes me meditate on how that aroma was utterly enlightening back in the day.... when I thought Upper Canada Pale Ale was the best pale ale. When I though $4 for SNPA at Sailor Hagar liquor store was absurd (it was) but I paid it anyway. So rich and resiny with cascades. Fun times, nostalgia, and yet of course nobody actually made beer like this back then.

Modest foam and light gold body. Very pefumy pine sol aroma. Flavour is wheatiness and sharp malt. Medium finish. A little too overbearing and the hops were not as prevalent as I hoped.

Taster at the brewery. Pours a bit hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma is same weird as Power Slide one. Taste is citrusy and fruity with malty notes. Meh.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh piney hops, with some bitter grapefruit, and biscuity malt. Flavour is wonderfully balanced, with lots of piney and citrusy hops upfront, with a little bitter grapefruit, and crisp biscuity malt. Skilfully balanced and with quite a lot of depth. Excellent older school IIPA.

Draught at the brewery
Golden colour, clean, no head. Mild aroma, some cereals and some herbaceous hops. Dry and lean mouthfeel, traces of caramel, but the malt base is anonymous, the hopping is a bit resiny, but again without the qualities expected in the PNW in 2018.
Overall it's a decent and clean strong beer, an old style IIPA.

Draft - Malt backbone with some resin. Clear orange gold with a small white head. Resin, bitter and caramel. Very old school.
