Crisp, light and pleasantly hoppy this traditional pale ale yields the flavours of four carefully balanced hops with distinct, but not overwhelming, fruit, finishing with long sweet, biscuit malt and nutty flavours.

Cask half @ Gunmaker's Arms, shared with haddock with the pub cat keeping us company on the radiator close by. Misty gold appearance, white head. Ok pale overall, dull fruity citrus notes, hint of dust.. perhaps not as it's freshest.

Cask half-pint at the source, shared with Mat on 25th January 2024. Clean golden body, white crust. Citrus front with grapefruit like aroma and flavour to the fore, other citrus fruits turned up, but this didn't 'float my boat' at all.

Cask at the brewpub. Aroma has light grains amd fruit. Clear copper gold. Thin frothy foamy white head. Light-medium sour citrus. Underlying malts. A random saline element. Light. Thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish..Kinda basic but strong.

500ml bottle direct from brewery. Clear gold-light brown pour, thin head, no visible carbonation. Aroma is malts, floral and citrus. Fears are confirmed as this beer is flat, no carbonation at all. Another poor attempt at bottle conditioning. If I had known I would have waited for an opportunity to visit the Gun Makers Arms before trying these beers. Flavours are nice through, malts, peach, citrus, some light fruity grapefruit.

A bit dull and mild golden ale.
Clear golden color with a white head. Mild intensity in the aroma. Medium light body and as oft carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Malty and mild fruity flavor.
