The third in our series of wine grape-matured farmhouse ales, Terroir celebrates the grape harvest in the Southern Willamette Valley and the closing of another successful year. Freshly pressed 2016 Pinot Gris juice from King Estate Winery was added to this farmhouse ale to add underlying aromas of honey and pear with bright citrusy flavors of orange, and meyer lemon. Toast the upcoming holiday season with a taste of Oregon terroir.

Hazy blond color. Some smell of wax, Riesling, barrel; dry mouthfeel; bready, yeasty, doughy, some funk. Not very good.

Pours a nice clear golden from a bottle, thick white head. Aroma is a nice winey, bretty grass. Citrus present. Flavor is surprisingly winey in a good way. Pretty good beer.

Bottle from Tavour Slightly hazy light golden color with a tightly bubbled white head that dissipates quickly. Earthy and funky on the nose with hints of lemony tartness and a light jammy grape. Light citric lactic tartness with bits of vinous and earthy funk. Pretty good wild ale.

500 mL bottle, courtesy of Joet. Thanks! A cloudy golden yellow pour. No head. Very wine like aroma. Some spice too. Flavor is white grape, wine constant, some brett like character, a bit dry, and nicely tart. Nice amount of flavor going on. Refreshing wine type sour. Very nicely done, though I really gotta get my hands on the Pinot Noir version.

Dull tan, no head; does not look great. Brett, touch peachy, decent. Refreshing with good flavour complexity. Barrels. I assume some of that fruitiness is from the wine, but can't be certain of that. Quality brett brew.
