Life gave us lemons, and we looked on The Bright Side and made lemon beer. The Bright Side is lightly tart, gently hopped with Citra and Styrian Celeia hops and finished with fresh lemon zest and lemon juice to give it a zing and make it the perfect Summer beer.

Poured from the tap. Clear-ish blonde with small white head. Lemon, feint saison yeast with a hint of pepper. Okay.

Nice white foam and very yellow liquid. Sharp lager notes, grain, white dough. Flavour is lemony with hints of white dough. Dry finish but a bit thin on the mouth. Not bad but could be fuller.

On tap. Pours a cloudy white amber with light head. Aromas of dull waxy lemon and floral powdery wheat. Soapy flavors follow same with a sharper wheat.

On tap at Darby's Gastown, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out fresh lemon upfront, with spicy saison yeast and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of fresh citrusy, saison yeast, and a floral character. Very crushable. Good stuff.

Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver
Cloudy pale blond color. Light beer, dry, rather weak, with very little beer character, light puckery feeling, moderate lemon zest touch, short finish.
Simplistic.

Draught @ Matchstick Chinatown. Pale gold with a slight haze. Thin head. Mild lactic tartness, a bit wheaty but also a bit footy yeastiness that I don't like. Unexpected issue from Dageraad, who normally handle Belgian yeasts flawlessly. A touch of generic citrus makes this sort of refreshing, but the beer shouldn't rely on dumping lemon juice into it in order to work. The base is nothing more than an average Am Wheat. Disappointing.
