We've modernized our flagship IPA. Hopilano 2.0 features a much lighter and simpler malt profile, and classic west coast hops: Simcoe, Amarillo, and Cascade. Stonefruit, Pine and Tangerine dominate the aroma. The bitterness is assertive yet balanced.

Fruitier. Cleaner. Hoppier.

Visually different from the regular Hopilano, this one is dark blond rather than amber. Crisp and rather dry with delicate malt background, light biscuits, while the hopping is more understated, with balanced bitterness, but timid hop qualities.
Balanced and clean beer, more elegant than the original version.

Bottle, Legacy. Hazy dull tan. Bubbly thin head. Lots of orangey hops on the aroma, with pears and canned peaches as well. Softish body...sweet malts are really nice. The tropicitrus hops over top of that are fun...probably could be more stellar but on paper this is definitely a better-constructed beer than the prior version.

Bottle - Citrus peel. Clear gold with a decent white head. Tangerine and more citrus with a touch of caramel and a dry finish. Decent.

On tap at Bridge, pours a copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out grassy, piney hops, a light herbaceous character and crisp biscuity malt base. Flavour is along the same lines, with a grassy, herbal hop character atop a dry biscuity malt base. A bit too herbal for my taste, but it's decent.
