22oz (thx, Max F.!) @ home shared with Andrey. Appearance: hazy copper with a beige head. Aroma: dark fruits, prunes, barrel, quite sweet. Taste: along the same lines, lots of prunes, creamy notes from oak. Overall: good one.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor
Dark brown colour, small head. Some dark malt, caramel aroma, light bourbon. The body is weaker than expected, some caramel flavour without real depth, strong booze feeling.
Ok but not impressive.

The colour is amber-brown. Not much head. Pours bright. The aroma has a mellow caramel, with a light woodiness. Light body, and a bit of caramel, and a toffee note. I like it, but it's a bit thin, alcoholic, with a light vanilla note.

22 oz bottle from Jeremy. Dark amber pour, small bubbly head. Sweet malty aroma, lots of whiskey barrel, maple. Taste brings in some brown sugar, more sweet malt. Warms up fast, with a bit of heat going down. Pretty damn tasty

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Big Wood 2013, pours an opaque dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma of dry wood, dry caramel and alcohol. Flavour brings out loads of caramel, dry wood, and whiskey barrels. Not the most complex beer, but decently well-balanced. Decent stuff.
