Tasting at Oakes' Manor, can
Cloudy blond colour. Light apple aroma. Good body strength, moderately sweet, good malt, juicy hops, timid.
Good.

Can - Pithy and starchy. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Starchy and pithy again, not great.

Can. Cloudy, tan colour. Thin head. The aroma has a fairly big spiciness, with light stone fruits, and a touch of yeastiness. Has some green grass, heavy, mossy hop character. Relatively low bitterness. Soft malt body, definitely some alcohol coming in late. The melon hop is actually not particularly prominent. This isn't particularly effective for me.

16 ounce can. Pours a hazy orange hue with a large white head. A sweet bready citrus nose. Mango, guava, bready. Ok. Sort of unusual. Not really shining through.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. I really wish Matchless was closer to home. Like 50 miles closer at least. This place has been my go to for keeping up with these guys, which is fitting, since it's the same place that introduced me to them long ago. So many good beers later! Hazy darker orange pour. Oily foam head. Tons of hops. A tropical fruit throughout. Banana. Juicy, creamy body with a touch of grainy grit. Less my profile of IPA I guess, but well done for sure. That basically means with Matchless, that instead of amazing, I think it's just super good.
