Draught from the Habitat. Dark pour, not much head. Thinnish consistency. HEavy on the licorice. Eh.

Lovely pepper porter, with a subtle but rising heat waiting on the edges of a smoky, chocolate-n-espresso center. Finishes dry, with the spiciness waiting until the third or fourth sip to make its presence known. About as easy-sippin' as a pepper beer can get. Nice.

Bottle @ home, bootled in 2011 according to stamp. Black color. Light brown head with short retention. Aroma's: sweetish, red fruit, berries, vergetal (from the pepper?). Retronasal it's fruity and vegetal, sweetish, raisins (oxidation?). Flavor is light moderate sweet, milk chocolatey, fruity. Peppery hear on the tongue, but this almost immediately disappears after swallowing. Body is a bit thinner than expected. Finishes with light peppery heat, light roasty bitterness.

Muy oscura, negra rojiza. Sin espuma. Mucho aroma, cacao y ahumada. Textura cremosa y suave. Potente sabor inicial que mezcla frutos secos y mucho chocolate. Pero pronto, alucinante. Pica!! Y mucho. Especial. Merece probarse.

Old rating. Pours dark, with a slight red hue, and a small head. Aroma is smoked malts, with tobacco and coffee, as well as chocolate and liquorice. Full, creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet malts, with coffee, syrup and liquorice, as well as very present notes of strong spices and chili. Maybe too strong, and indeed lingering throughout the finish.

Tap at Dexters. Opaque brown-black. Big, creamy beige head. Roasty chocolate and black pepper aroma. Smooth, milk chocolate tones dominate. Pretty good, rather mellow pepper tones. Interesting, decent Porter.
