She’s back for a third time and is packed with all the 2019 Simcoe you can handle. With this IPA it’s an entirely different kind of hopping rate, all together…

473mL can, pours an opaque, filthy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is a yeast soup, with gentle dank hops, and lots of astringent soapy hops. Flavour follows along the same lines, with a rather unpleasant yeastiness upfront, followed by soapy hops, bit of tropical fruit, and biscuity malt. Ugh, way too yeasty - I don't understand the love that some of the others have given this. An uncoordinated, amateur hazy IPA.

On tap. As per normal Hazy it's an awful looking muddy yellow. Full head though. Aromas of orange juice and beer. Still following a normal hazy... Flavors of same with additional wheat crackers. Yep, normal hazy...

2020-04-26, can from The Gull, North Vancouver, 6.5% ABV, 8-3-7-3-16=37
Murky blond colour. Big tropical hop aroma. The mouthfeel is light, even weak, with a bit of chalky feeling, juicy hops, with low bitterness, but there's some citrus peel bitterness. Short finish.
Once again, very good.

2019-03-16, can from Firefly, Vancouver, 8-3-7-3-15=36
Muddy pale blond colour, almost greenish. Pungent aroma of resiny hops and citrus zest. The mouthfeel is chalky, the hopping is powerful, but also abrasive on the palate, quite harsh, a bit juicy; and the final is shorter than expected.
Good but rough, and very green.

2018-04-21, can from Legacy, Vancouver, 7-3-8-4-16=38
Murky pale blond colour. Very nice hop aroma, gentle citrus, zest. Lean body, ethereal, delicate malt base, juicy and zesty hops, but mostly this is elegant and balanced, and fresh.
Excellent.

Tall can at Alex's. Pours a murky blonde with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruits with pineapple notes. Taste is similar. Good.

Can, Legacy. Opaque, pale, just a thin head. Danky lupy powder nose. Soft, not much bitterness, touch of cannabis but also maybe a touch of butter than needs to have been absorbed before releasing this. However, the hops take on a slight fruity note as well, so not bad.

Can - Lovely citrus and light dank. Cloudy gold with a nice white head. Nice citrus, light dank notes and a pleasant light finish. Solid.
