Here is the long awaited return of an instant classic: the Glutenberg Double IPA. Putting several types of hops in the spotlight (Simcoe, Citra and Amarillo), his nose is distinguished by a scent of resin and tropical fruits. These aromas persist in the mouth, supported by a silky base with hints of orange and pineapple.

Olfactif: Agrumes, conifères et fruits tropicaux avec une touche d’herbes fraiches. Un beau mélange varié et typique. Visuel: Ambrée, avec une absence marquée de mousse. Gustatif: Très fruitée et chaleureuse avec une amertume discrète en finale. Les fruits tropicaux triomphent avec la mangue, le fruit de la passion, l’orange et l’ananas. Amertume un peu trop discrète cependant. Où sont les conifères de l’olfactif? La texture est grasse et l’effervescence un peu trop tranquille.

Hazy dark amber color with small head. The aroma is full of citrusy hops, some spicy malt. Food body structure; spicy malt with a lot of character, maybe rye, quite sweet, which blends well; resiny and fruity hops complete the picture.

500mL can, pours a hazy dark orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is quite spicy, with spicy earthy hops and an intense dry graininess. Flavour is very spicy and earthy, with resinous hops, caramel malts, and an earthy spiciness. Really quite good for a gluten free beer. Strikes me as a fairly authentic double IPA. Very nice stuff.

Canette 473ml. Couleur orange brûlé translucide, mousse beige fuyante. Arôme de houblon résineux, agrumes, céréales, pain multigrain, grains. Goût de houblon résineux, bonne amertume, céréales grillées, touche d’alcool, soupçon de pamplemousse, un peu sucrée. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.
