Locally roasted coffee, sourced from small holder farmers in Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe Beriti region, provides a rich yet delicate floral aroma with notes of citrus fruits, lime peel and bergamot while the German malt base provides a subtle biscuit flavour and crisp finish.

Mellow gold body and modest foam. good coffee and sweet lager on the nose, nice balance. Flavour is deep maltiness accented by sharp coffee, lingering smooth grain. Dry finish. Really enjoyable.

Draft - Light grains and some decent coffee. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Nice coffee and a light citrus grainy note.

650 ml bottle. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of wet coffee grounds and candied fruit. Flavors of stale coffee, bready malts and earthy hops. OK.

Blond color, clean, with generous head. Light smell of bread crust, not fragrant, a bit stale actually. Dry mouthfeel, bready, a bit stale. So, the base beer has no chance to shine, while the mild cold brewed coffee doesn’t really add any interest, if anything it adds stale and earthy character.
Not flawed, but why brewing this?

Hazy, light, blonde. Thin head. There is a lot of coffee on the nose, fresh pale malt character, too. On its own, the nose isn’t bad for the type of beer they made. I have misgivings about wasting great Ethiopian coffee when none of the Ethiopian character comes out in the finished product. Mostly coffee on the palate, with again a pale malt note, though that comes across a bit doughy here. Again, the coffee has limited nuance, which is a shame. So you have as advertised -

650mL bottle, pours a hazy pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out subdued espresso beans, a herbaceous quality, and bready notes. Flavour is pretty muted, with earthy espresso, bready malt and cardboard. Leaves a lot to be desired. Cardboardy, with an earthy, stale coffee finish. Not impressive.
