Bottle: Poured a clear reddish color ale with an off-white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing notes. Aroma of tart notes with clearly identifiable currant notes with some faint notes of tequila. Taste is a complex mix of tart notes with some oak flavours, some strong currant notes with a smooth and faint finish of tequila. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable sour with just enough tequila notes to not unravel all of the flavours.

500ml bottle. Clear, pale, ruby colour with average, firm, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Tangy and slightly vinous, fruity aroma, notes of morello, hints of morello, blue grapes, an alcoholic whiff of tequila maybe. Taste is minimally dry, mildly tart, fruity, slightly oaky, hints of cherry, morello, sweet-ish hints of strawberry, some vinegar-like sourness and prickly carbonation form a kind of centre pillar surrounded by all other flavours. The tartness is intense and quite pungent but somehow regional, confined - good balance overall.

(500ml bottle c/o my better half) Pours rather hazy dull reddish with a small off-white head. Aroma of black currants, tequila, dried flowers, herbs, berry skins, aromatic wood, touch of acidity. Flavour is currants, cranberries, red grapes, ample tequila with its herbal, floral and grassy profile, slight spiciness, drying wood, extremely light sweetness from the fruit but also quite light acidity. Finish has persistent currants, lightly tannic berry skins, wood, herbal tequila, light minerality. Medium bodied, fairly soft effervescent carbonation. Quite surprised by this, I thought the tequila and currant combination would be bad and even moreso if the tequila was assertive, but in the end the combination worked really well.

Bottle shared at Himmeriget, Copenhagen - Amber coloured pour with thin white head. 500mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a deep dark red with a medium beige head. Nose brings out somewhat subtle tequila barrels upfront, with even more subdued, lightly tart red currants. Flavour is very complex, with lots of deep tequila barrels upfront, followed by tart currants, and light lacto. What a wonderful integration of flavours. Excellent.
