Dark brown colour with some golden-copper highlights, a frothy warm-beige head, decent stay and some creamy lacing. Aromas of mineral water, mild roasted malts, caramel and good nuttiness. The flavours are well-balanced, with some nutty-dark roasted malts, mineral notes and decent hops. Kind of creamy on the mouthfeel, with a nice dryness. Quite a nice darker brew that has a mild touch, good drinkability, but yet enough hoppiness to finish things well.

Can - Chocolate and cocoa. Dark brown with a small beige head. Toast, touch metallic, light toffee. Not much to it.

Some graininess and metallic tinges. Very mute at first. Mild coffee bitterness and some dark fruit come out but it's a stretch.

A dark reddish brown ale with a thin lacing moka head. In aroma, nutty malt with notes of vanilla and a bit of fudge. In mouth, a nutty malt with light metallic notes, maple extract, oily mouthfeel, chocolate, roasted malts, medium bodied....is this a mild or a brown ale? On tap at brewery, Nov. 6 2010.
