Golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of yeast, sugars, light malt and quite a bit of fruits. Medium-bodied; Strong sugar flavour of apricots and pears with a little yeast note, some lighter malt and wheat notes and a bit of floral and grassiness on the end. Aftertaste shows more sugars than anything else with an emphasis on yeast and wheat with the rest of the flavours related to sugars, fruit and a light sweetness. Overall, a surprisingly nice ale with a good yeast characteristic and some smooth fruity notes. Yet another example of a great beer that you can find almost everywhere over here that no one thinks anything of! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased for €2,25 from Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 12-August-2013 sampled a few hours later in my hotel room here in Sainte Catherine, Brussels, Belgium on 12-August-2013.

Light haze on this gold -amber beer. Big pale cream coloured head. Palate is crispy and a little dry. Minerals. Sweet banana esters dominate but are tempered by a nice lemony tang and a pinch of white pepper. Finishes dry with some creamy malt coming through. Not bad!

750 ml bottle into signature chalice, bottled on 4/26/2012. Pours slightly cloudy golden amber color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, apple, pear, pepper, clove, grape, pale candi sugar, honey, bread, floral, grass, and herbal earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of malt, hop, and fruity/spicy yeast ester notes. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, pepper, clove, pale candi sugar, light honey, floral, grass, bread, and herbal earthiness. Nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy ester flavors; with a larger amount of spicy esters; low-moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Quite dry on the finish as well. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth, crisp, and prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a nice Belgian blond ale. Good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy ester notes; smooth and crisp to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier, bb 10.04.14
Beautiful golden color, clean, with generous head. The aroma is delicate and spicy. Smooth mouthfeel; the malt flavor hs a light sweetness, very light fruity touch, and reasonable spiciness; correct bitterness; light mint impression in the final.
Basic but not bad.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a hazy golden with loads of tiny impurities and a white head. Spicy fruity and yeasty nose. Medium body, fruit and Belgian yeast - and then a spicy hoppiness reminding me of Sorachi Ace. Not bad. 040113
