Taster at the brewery. Pours a deep black with a tan head. Aroma is sweet cherries. Similar taste, a bit tart. It tastes like a fruit beer, but I am fan of cherry, so I definitely like it.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dark cherry pits and a bit of toasted malt - dominated by the cherry pits though. Flavour brings out heaps of rich dark cherries, with not a whole lot else to speak - getting no butter, as Oakes did. Medium-bodied and full-on cherry. Very nice.

Dark brown, not much head at all. No cherry on the nose but there is butter....they introduced a wild card. Tart, light cherry, some chocolate, butter for sure. Fuck that. Zero chance I’m getting past that.

Draught at the brewery
Black color. Some aroma of rye bread and rotting fruit. The chocolate notes of the base beer blend with the tart cherry to create a feeling similar to a black forest cake.
Not bad (better than expected), but not as good as the base beer.
