341ml bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with a medium, foamy, long lasting, beige head that laces nicely. Mild aroma of grainy malt, caramel, musty yeast and oak. Sweet flavour of toasted malt, caramel, vanilla, bourbon and oak with a dry, sour finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Pretty tame for a barrel aged beer.

Draft - Light malts. Clearish Amber with a small white head. Light sweet woody notes and a light finish. Nothing wrong but just very subtle all the way around.

Draught at the brewery
Dark red-brown color, compact head. Mild aroma of caramel and liquor. There is some light residual sweetness so the body is well constructed, caramel flavor but not much malt depth, mild fruity sourness to balance the sweetness, a touch of nuts, and vague spirit; a bit short in the final.
Interesting.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is very laid back, with a touch of wood and toasted malt. Flavour is very mellow for a barrel aged beer, with subtle whiskey barrels (JD I bet?), toasted malt and caramel. Not sure why you'd barrel age such a boring style. It's very pleasant for what it is though - solid barrel character.

Light amber-brown. Thin head. On the nose, mostly I’m getting toasty, crackery malt. A touch of tartness, some caramelly dark malt notes. Quite soft, there’s some nuance here but I am simply not a fan of this style - hits wrong notes for me. This is closer to something I’d like than most, fwiw. Score more reflects what I’d give it if judging.
