Bright golden-amber, medium head. Nice toasty caramelly nose, definitely smoke, beech, with a decent malt note.

On tap at John B Pub, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma reveals light campfire smoke, straw and cereal malt. Flavour has smoked meat, some campfire, bready malt, and light toasted caramel. Really nice smoke character here, accentuating the base Oktoberfest. Very good.

Draught at John B Pub, Coquitlam
Clean golden color. Delicate malt aroma and flavor, light biscuity malts, light sweetness, a bit weak in the final, but balanced and clean.

Draft - Honey and caramel. Clear gold with a decent white head. Light smoke, caramel and honey.

Draught. Beer gets points for courage. Looks like a fest bier, amber with white head. Bready aroma, large on the malt.. Smoke in the flavour, like a rauchbier. Finish has a balance between a German style hop and the malt.
