Cud Pud, as we affectionately call it, has got loads of thiol-derived richness from Oregon-grown Strata hops that provide big mid-palate pops of blueberry and passionfruit. We complement that with some Citra, also grown in the Willamette Valley, that blasts in with some top notes of tangerine, lime, coriander, and a floral-hay situation. We folded in a bit of Simcoe and Nelson Sauvin for some mild resin and musk, but these are really just accent notes that are there to allow the Oregon hops to shine.

It’s not just Oregon hops that make this beer fit squarely in the Northwest-vein of West Coast IPA. The ABV is milder than many of the California-inspired IPAs that we have brewed in the last few years, and some mild malt ballast allows notes of brown sugar and sweetened cereal to keep the finish nice and smooth.

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Orange golden pour, light cloudiness, lasting frothy white head. Aroma is light tropical fruit, oranges. Very, very light. Taste is the same as the nose, but with an abrupt dry feel that finishes it all. Not getting the same experience as the other raters here.

16/I/23 - 1Pt. can from a trade, shared @ home, BB: n/a, canned: XII/18/22 (2023-56) Thanks to Ryan C. for the trade!

Clear blond to yellow beer, big aery bit irregular off-white head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, old school West Coast smell, a bit resinous and piny, tropical fruits, juicy, mango. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity start, nice bitterness, a bit malty, resinous, very hoppy, a bit grassy, some citrus, grapefruit. Aftertaste: slightly sweet, some marijuana, pretty dank, resinous hops, onions, a bit juicy, more dankness, lovely beer!

On tap at John B Pub, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is quite hoppy for a pale and dry toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is dry and hoppy, with piney, dank hops, and toasted biscuity malt. Punchier than a usual pale. Dry and highly drinkable. Excellent.

Hazy blond color. Lovely aroma of piney hops, still quite delicate, with crisp malts, touch of biscuits, and light dank smell too.
Very good.
