Here is a beer full of treats. With aroma notes of fruit, spice and pepper from the Belgian yeast, a clean bitterness from the German hops and roundness from the malt, this beer is a treat. At 10% ABV, Santa’s Sac has enough kick to keep Santa going through the night.

473mL can. Pours clear gold with a white head. Loads of bubblegum on the nose. Flavour has bubblegum, heavy boozy malts, and some floral notes. Minimal carbonation. Smells and tastes like a boozy stick of hubba bubba. Remarkably poor.

Poured from the tap. Clear copper gold with small white head. Lots of sweet esters, candi sugar, light booze, mild cinnamon. It’s like liquid boozy cinnamon candy hearts (i.e. garbage).

Soft cinnamon on the nose, has weak gold body with minimal foam. Flavour is modest cinnamon and wheat dough. Mouthfeel is full and crisp enough. The abv is very well hidden but the flavour is stale and there's nothing really memorable here.

355ml bottle. I like the cheeky name. Pours a cloudy orange with a small, creamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of caramel malt, orange, apricot, Belgian yeast and light spice. Sweet fruity flavour of caramel malt, apricot, orange, banana, pear, plum, Belgian yeast and light spice with a dry, warming booze finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad, the high ABV is well hidden.

Not harsh or very alcoholy for the abv. Good body, easy drinking beer for the strength. Belgian yeast comes through mildly. 2017 advent calendar

Hazy golden color. Fruity, jammy esters in the nose. Strong mouthfeel, sweet, apricot jam flavor, just cloying yeast esters and nothing else.

Amber colour with just a slight haze. There's a touch of plastic, some random esters. A mess of fermentation going all over the map. A bit sticky, and a touch of alcohol. Messy phenol malts and stuff...I don't know...this is really not what you want in a Belgian or any other type of strong ale.
