We could wax poetic about the 2003’s leathery, herbal, citric, woody, vanilla, buttery qualities—but the only way to truly appreciate it is to taste it yourself. The one quality we must emphasize is that this is an OUDE LAMBIEK (old Lambic) NOT Geuze. There is some very light sparkle to the beer but it is not intended to have the high champagne-like carbonation that Geuze aims for.
You will see them turning up for special tastings at the best specialty beer bars coast to coast. Quite literally, when this product is gone it can never be made again.

1.5 year old De cam lambiek ( brewed by 3 fonteinen ! ) sampled from tap at Beerlovers bar. Free exclusive beer, friendly given to us by Karel. Pours rather unclear blonde, no head obviously. Smell is full, buttery , bit woody. Mild funk. Taste is full, tart, sharp, woody, brett. Nice, light funkyness.

Old note again. 2009 bottle. Aroma is ultra funky, vinegar like. Taste is great. Funk, sourness, great stuff. Very soft. Rerate. 2009 bottle again! Lovely aroma of sourness and brown bread. Great stuff. Seems like I was trashed both times I had it.

Bottled march ’00. The lambic is five years old before bottled, according to the label. Light orange color. The aroma has lemon, mandarin, even hints of raspberry and butter. Almost no carbon. Dusty flavor with a moderate sourness. Oak, mandarin, lemon and pineapple. It is a lambic that is both complex, traditional and easy to drink. Just below the absolute top. Wish I had bought more.

Pale orange amber color. Excellent horse blanket, hay, farmyard in the nose with good sourness. Low carbonation tons of dried apricot and nectarine character. Too low carbonation. Still love the funkiness
