On tap at the crown and beaver in North Bay Ontario.
Hazy orange pour, with a big foamy white head. Aroma is quite fruity, apricot, pear, hints if white wine grapes and some light bretty notes. Carbonation is quite lively, mouthfeel reminds me of a Belgian tripel. Finish is aggressively bitter, with some light oak, no signs of the hopped vodka at all. It all ends in a very strong green, hop Cone bitterness. Not bad, but whoa the end is not expected.

Bottle - Pale malts and some light toasted oak. Clear gold with a decent white head. Okay, sweet white fruit and a long finish. Vidal grapes are unfortunately lost.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with resinous floral hops, treacle, grapeskin, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light resinous hops, light barrel and curacao, alcohol warmth, very nice. Bottle from brewery. 7-3-8-3-14.

Draft at As Is. Mostly clear orange color with a frothy head. Mild hop aroma, clean and a little bitter. Oak comes through a bit but I get none of the grape or vodka. Fine.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color, compact head. Starts as a decent Pale Ale, some hops, light malt, smooth; but in the final there is to much booze, and too much pithy bitterness, almost unpleasant.
Unbalanced, uncoordinated.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is hop forward, with piney hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is much heavier on the vodka-soaked oak spirals, followed by bittering hops and biscuity malt. Don't get any grape or vinous character. Fun experiment but it doesn't deliver anything overly pleasant.

Enjoyed at the Loon. Pours a hazy golden colour with an off-white head, decent retention with good lacing. Grapefruit hoppy aromas with beautiful oak wood notes. Citrus zest taste with nice bitterness, dryness with hints of vanilla and wine grapes. A very nice pale ale to start with, and then the Vidal oak just adds a beautiful touch.
