Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: cloudy golden yellow color with a quarter finger of white foamy head which slipped off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: white grapes, gooseberries, grapefruits, vanilla and peaches, light notes of extra citrusy tones and sweet grass with subtle funk
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine tart to sour and an underscore of sweetness; finishes grapefruity/peachy/gooseberry and vanilla-like.
Texture: medium bodied, surely a sipper, some smoothness along the tongue but also a brisk tart assertiveness (seems way more restrained than a lot of their other sour ales, but that's okay, nothing to worry about as Almanac is just trying something different)
Overall: I say a nicely done pastry sour ale worthy of being a dessert beer if I could come back to it

extremely strong watermelon on the nose, so the fruit comes through on this heavily, but is balanced by the tartness. So so flavourful. Almanac taproom sf

375ml bottle. Pours bright hazy gold. Peach, nectarine, sweet white dessert wine, lemon, tart white wine vinegar, minerally nectarine skin, nectarine flesh, oak, vanilla, gooseberry, grapefruit, nectarine skin, sweet apricot flesh, little honey, so much stonefruit. Spritzy body popping with tart juicy flavour. Incredible.

Bottle. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has sour peach and nectarine with red wine and grains supporting. Flavor has nectarine and tart peach up front with growing red wine and a hint of flora and vanilla underlying.

Bottle. A- Tart, vanilla, citrus, white wine, grape must. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Tart, sour, acidic, tangerines, vanilla, funky, grapes. P- Light body, average texture, medium carbonation, balanced finish. O- At first this tasted like a white wine or champagne, then I dumped in the yeast sludge from the bottom. Probably not my best move, but that certainly added in a lot of funk and tartness.

12.7 oz bottle. Aroma is pungent lacto, woody, fruity, wet stone. Pours pale light golden with a light haze and a quickly disappearing white head; leaves a ring after a minute and looks completely flat after a couple (actually looks like a glass of white wine, maybe that's what they were going for). Taste is sour (4/5) and acidic with flavors of peach, wood, nectarine, grapes, pepper, faint banana note. Vanilla is pretty light. Slightly too woody for my tastes. Not the best Almanac sour I've had, but it's interesting and tastes good.

(375ml bottle from boxbeers.dk) Pours lightly hazed gold with nearly no head. Aroma of tart peach and nectarine, juicy, lemony zippiness, sweet white grapes, fruit skins, toasty oak, light vanilla, some wet hay. Flavour is juicy and acidic with quite tart nectarine, peach, lemon, light grapefruit, touches of Muscat, white wine, green apple, subtle vanilla, dry grass, some slightly tannic oak. Medium bodied and slick, with effervescent moderately strong carbonation. Quite tart but with some balancing juicy sweetness, complex, well-balanced. Another nice one from Almanac.
