Malt: Maris Otter and Prairie Pale Ale, Oats
Yeast: London Ale III
This single hop IPA was brewed with the favourite Pacific Northwest variety Amarillo. Unlike so many new varieties that are developed through plant breading Amarillo was actually discovered in nature and not bred in a greenhouse. It began it’s popularity in the 90’s as the first big juicy hop variety of it’s kind. This is another lovely fruity and balanced IPA with great new world hop variety.

Draught at the brewery
Cloudy golden color. Mild aroma, apricot jam. Robust mouthfeel, the malt base is also a bit bready, with light residual sweetness, the hopping is moderately resiny with orange and grapefruit peel.
Solid IPA.

Hazy amber. Just a thin head. Big fresh amarillo nose and biscuity pale malts. Bitter..the malts are pretty doughy and the amarillo a touch sulphury, but it's a decent beer with good structure.

On tap at Strange Fellows, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, hop oils, some resin and biscuity malt. Flavour is very nicely expressive of the Amarillo, with lots of piney hop oils, some light dankness and dry biscuity malt. Nicely balanced, with a great hop expression. Excellent.
