A dry porter that goes down easy with a clean finish. Named in honor of the much-under-appreciated Valley we call home.

Flight pour at Darby's. Pours murky dark brown with a beige head. Aroma has coffee and roasted malts. Flavour has a nice roasted malt and coffee profile. Not a whole lot else going on, but it's an okay porter.

Poured from the tap. Medium dark brown with small beige head. Tasted malt, light bread and toffee. Fine, but uninteresting.

On tap. Pours a very dark brown with light foamy head. Aromas of nuts, black coffee and roasted malts. Flavors of cola and roasted malts. Simple and easy to drink. Good food beer

Growler fill from the brewery, tasted at home. Pours a heavily carbonated dark brown and modest head on top. The aroma is tinny barley, roasted a bit. Flavour is sweet molasses with some soft coffee notes. Full on the mouth, pulling toward too sweet but still reasonably balanced. Okay porter.

Tasting at SF, Vancouver; growler
Brown color, clean. Bready, dry, a bit roasty, with some chocolate and some artificial vanilla, a bit too roasty in the final.
Unbalanced.

Growler, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and a touch of dry cocoa. Flavour is laid back, with toasted malt, some bready notes and a hint of dry cocoa. Very smooth and clean, but not overly interesting. Decent.

Dark brown. On the nose, it's that sort of light cocoa, crackers. The palate is about that, with a little tartness in the back. Sort of a basic porter, hits the right notes, but doesn't go beyond that.
