Pours thickly to a good, amazingly coloured rusty-orange head, dense, over totally opaque, dark redbrown beer. Ashy, earthy, roasted; and a strange manure-like component - but not unpleasant. Quite dry-roasted, almost rust/oxyde-like, metalslag. Some salted drop. Again this earthy component, retronasal. Very well-bodied, visouc, alcoholwarming. Oily feel, good carbonation. Quite good.

Thank you for sharing people! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Finally got to try this classic. Black, small mocha bubbles. Nose is thick raw mocha, bitter black chocolate, warming, molasses malts. Taste is thick bitter black chocolate, herbal, warming, molasses, licorice with light touch of paint. Very thick, boozy. Nicely aggressive & big beer in a fun way. Carries a nice punch, rather taw, quite good stuff.

A black beer, a head is great, big and dark brown. Aroma has coffee, sweetness of malts, some liquirice and strawberries. Taste is slightly weird, lots of red berries, coffee and roastiness. Medium+ bodied, strong carbonation. Porter with strong berries, quite good.
