Tap @ Fiddler, small sample. Clear amber to copper color, short frothy head. Aroma of some toasted malts, caramel, slight fruity english yeasty notes. Toasted malts in taste, bit sweet. A bock english style. Meh.

Tap at the Brewpub. Poured a cloudy reddish amber with a thin white head. The aroma is malt and a little yeast. The flavour is moderate to weak sweet with a smooth banana malt palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A highly unusual Bock. In fact I’m not sure its a Bock at all, but I did like it a lot.

Pint at the brewpub. Thin white head. Poor carbonation. Hazy amber pour.. not a great bock, --- Beer merged from original tick of Animal Army Howling Wolf on 01 Oct 2013 at 11:05 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Pint at the brewpub. Thin white head. Low carbonation. Just talked to Erik the manager of the Fiddler and they changed the yeast and tweaked the recipe. Good job. Last years was pretty bland. Thus is better but needs more carbonation imo. There are better bocks out there

Draft at the brewpub. Pours murk brown with a tan head. Aroma of citrus, light malt and some floral aspects, this is not like a normal bock.. Flavour is Light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter.edium bodied with soft light prickly carbonation. Some alcohol evident. --- Beer merged from original tick of Animal Army Howling Wolf on 02 Oct 2013 at 13:34 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Original review text: Draft at The Fiddler. Pours hazy amber brown with a tan head. Aroma of dough, nuts, yeast, light herbs and a little caramel. Flavour is light moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. It’s really a very weird take on a bock beer, but at the same time not too bad. Definite improvement on last year’s recipe.
