Brewed in the Rockies, with a taste of the coast, this West Coast Pale Ale is best enjoyed under star-filled skies. A hop forward, light copper coloured Pale Ale with oats added to enhance the body and mouthfeel. Crystal malts give it a slight caramel flavour and heaps of Mosaic and Ekuanot hops add a strong aroma and flavour of tropical fruits.

Available in 6x355mL cans, 473mL cans and on tap.

Pours with nice foam and a good orangey copper body. Very good piney malts on the nose, lots of resin, balanced and smooth. Flavour is good malt with sharp piney hops, rounding out well into a good pale ale meld. Very good mouthfeel, crisp and good oiliness. A very fine pale ale.

On tap at Fernie, pours a clear copper golden witha small white head. Aroma brings out assertively bitter piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp and bright, with a great piney hop character in true west coast fashion, with a nice crisp biscuity malt base. Crisp and nicely bitter. Very nicely done west coast pale.

355ml can. First introduced as Fernie Base Camp. Pours a hazy amber-orange with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Mild aroma of bready caramel malt, orange, indistinct tropical fruit and pine. Sweet flavour of grainy caramel malt, melon, tropical fruit, grass and light pine in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Just ok.

Tasting at SF
Hazy golden color. Interesting aroma, herbal, deep cereal, husk. The mouthfeel is quite dry, too much focus on cereal and husks, and resiny woody hops.
Quite harsh, really unbalanced.

Hazy, bubbly head. The aroma has some stewed fruit notes, but also a bit piney. Moderate bitterness up front, and the hop character is a bit brighter.
