Strong aroma of cloying sugar and some brown sugar to add on top of all the sugar. Modest head and foggy copper brown body. Heavy malt and sugary barley character. Cloying finish. A little too much of everything.

Bottled. Hazy deep amber, small head. Pear, pepper and honey melon up front. Sweet with full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Gooseberry and caramel. Gewürztraminer. Low bitterness. Interesting and tasty.

Tasting at SF
Hazy brown color. Aroma of booze, and strong esters. Medium body, the booze is too evident; some caramel flavor, but basic lack of depth, and rye in the finish.
Ok beer, pretentious, failing to fulfill the promises.

22 oz. bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks Youri), pours a hazy caramel brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of caramel upfront, with lots of bourbon, and some light earthiness. Flavour is heavy, with complementary notes of caramel and bourbon barrels, with a hint of vanilla. Light earthiness from the rye I guess, but it comes out as mostly bourbon character. Fairly boozy, but pleasantly so. Very good.

Hazy. Light tan. No head. So there’s a fairly good bit of rye happening here, and sweet figgy malts. There is a lot of figgy notes, rye, and there’s also a fair bit of barrel. So, woody, splash of alcohol in the finish. Maybe a little bit of bubblegum happening, but it’s not ruining it for me.

Bottle - Lots of caramel and woody notes. Deep dark brown with a rich beige head. Sweet whisky notes, caramel and light grains with a long sweet finish. Touch of Apple and booze throughout.

Bottle: Poured a deep copper color ale with a nice brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt and toffee notes with some rye whisky notes is quite enticing. Taste is a great mix between some caramelized malt notes, toffee, dates with some rye whisky notes and light woody notes are also apparent. Body is full with good carbonation and light warming alcohol notes. Another superb rendition of their scotch ale which retains some drinkability with lots of depth and complexities.

Bouteille 650ml. Carbonatation faible, corps moyen-dense.
