We use 2.7 pounds of fresh apricots per gallon of our Lambic-inspired Ale, to make pFriem Abrikoos. That may sound like a lot, but once you taste the pungent aromas of sweet dried apricots, grape, and cantaloupe and tart and tangy notes of baked lemons, pineapple nectar and canned peaches, we think you’ll agree, it’s just right.

375mL bottled 3/7/2024, drunk 2/22/2026.
Stored this thing in a very cold cellar for weeks, and it still aggressively gushed upon uncorking, thus now I have a hazy, muddled, yeasty beer.
The yeast doesn't dampen the bright, acidic apricot, however (or maybe it does help mitigate some of the acid). Juicy and fruity with very, very piquant acidity. Seems like one that you worry is going to be too intensely acidic in the flavor. But the apricot character in and of itself is wonderful. Don't really get too much funk other than the fruit. Certainly no lambic character.
Very, very, very carbonated with an apricot puree-like character. The yeast does dull the flavor somewhat, and it's far from too acidic, thankfully. Similar to the nose, the apricot is lovely, but there really isn't much else here. Some chewy wheat and well-attenuated malts, but hardly even a bit of lactic character, let alone Brett and funk. At least it's a perfectly pleasant, tart, lightly oaky fruit beer.
Rating this as a sour/fruit beer, not as a lambic. If numbers were scored to a lambic, this would be abysmal.

(355ml bottle shared @ Nische's tasting, thanks to the host!) Pours somewhat hazy orange-gold with a small white head. Notes of heavy cider vinegar with some fruit steeped in; probably apricot but more generally orange fruit and citrus zest, also lactic acid and somewhat earthy leathery wood with prominent tannins and a light to moderate funky component. Medium-full slick body, low carbonation. Nah, not for me, this is pretty much vinegar and the apricots have gone missing. If it's lambic inspired then it's lambic gone bad...

0,375l bottle at Nisches tasting, thanks for sharing. amber cloudy color, small white head. smells of vinegar, wine notes, apple vinegar, light marzipan. ok smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of vinegar, apple cider, spices, earthy, rather lactic. finishes very dry and medium sour with notes of vinegar, apple cider and some earthy notes. not much apricotis, not a big fan overall 6, 4, 6, 3, 13

Tap at the brewpub in Hood river. This was really really really good. Powerful apricot flavours match a very well done sour. Iambic inpsired they say and they did a good job

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color. The aroma is a bit fruity and acetic. Dry, mildly sour, light stone fruit, way too acetic.

Bottle. Pours a mostly clear orange hue with a medium white head. A big woody fruity nose. A big sour apricot bite, woody, certainly a round melon sweet flavor. Lovely. Sharp.

Bottle on the RBSG bus. Pours a hazy golden orange color with a small beige head. Aroma of citrus and farmyard, lots of apricot, funk. Tastes fruity and a little sweet, moderate sour. Nice apricot flavors, a little dusty straw, vinous, and oak. Has a few vibrant little bits of citrus.
