A dense, pillowy well-laced tan head on a black/brown body. Nose is roasted coffee, dark fruit and chocolate. Highly roasted malt and coffee lead the taste profile. Toffee, lactose, butter, coffee and sweet, ripe, dark berries round out a strong presence. The finish adds a note of ash and retracts from initial sweetness. The body is appropriately dense and slightly sticky. Well put together.

Bottle - Dark roast, sweet dark fruit and some cocoa. Jet black brown with a rich light brown head. Dark roast with some bitterness and cocoa notes. Touch of booze in the finish.

A deep dark imperial stout with a thick creamy lacing brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light coffee grind, light fruity esters, alcohol warmth, pleasant. In mouth, sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of dark fruits, bitter chocolate, coffee grind, oily mouth feel, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Le Barrage, Longueuil.
