SMaSH is an acronym for single malt and single hop. This beer has a moderate malt background with a lingering bitterness providing a great canvas for the Ekuanot hop. Look for citrus, pine, and tropical fruit flavours and aromatics.

Touch hazy. Nice golden colour with a thick head. Rich hoppy aroma. Clean pale malts, deep rich bitterness. Lots of ekuanot. Parkside’s SMaSH beers tend to push the envelope on the hop richness, something I personally favour.

Draft - wet grass and weedy. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sour, bitter and grassy. Not great.

Hazy golden color. I like the straw malts, I like the tea and resiny hops, a bit musky, although the bitterness in the final is a bit vegetable, chicory.
Very good.

Hazy blond color, generous frothy head. The aroma is resiny and a bit musky, ass. It has a very good malt base, crisp, with very limited sugars; at first the hopping is resiny and very pleasant, but it quickly develops a rather offending pithy bitterness leading to a finish that is like chicory juice.
Surely some positive note (aroma, malt), but needs some work (vegetable bitterness).

On tap at Parkside, pours a clear dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry floral hops, some dank piney notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is rather ascorbic, with some medicinal-like hops, citrus and biscuity malt. Very abrasive in the citric territory. I think I'm just not a fan of this hop. Too citric and abrasive.
