Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy yellow color. Funky aroma like true French ciders. Good body strength, good flavors, apple cider, wood, tannins, but the alcohol is too strong and spoils a bit the balance.
Interesting and complex, for a local cider. Boozy but good.

Draft - Funky barnyard and Apple. Clear pale gold with almost no head. Funky apple skin, tannin and a light bitterness and acidity.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear dull yellow with no head. Aroma brings out light champagne yeast, fairly dry apple acidity and a touch of a farmhouse character. Flavour is very complex, with lots of barnyard funk, champagne yeast and minor acidity. Bone dry and hugely funky on the finish. One of the finest Merridale products. Excellent.

Sampled at Merridale. Flowery nose. Dark golden. Mellow chewy mouthfeel, not particularly sparkly. Dry sweet dry apple base, light floral notes. Feels substantial.

Deep gold colour. Still. Really spicy nose with loads of nutmeg and cinammon and sweet apple. Flat body...not just still but dead and oily with no vibrancy at all. Sweet, no trace of those lovely spices, just bland sweet apple must and a hint of tartness at the back. Jeez, that really fell apart.
