With a citrusy aroma and a creamy palate, Dageraad White is our take on the spiced wheat ales or “witbiers” traditionally brewed in the Brabant region of Belgium. Flavourful but drinkable, Dageraad White pairs excellently with any dish that benefits from a spicy hit of citrus, such as fish or salad.

Flight at brewery. Pours cloudy yellow with white head. Aroma has banana and coriander. Flavour has a similar profile with wheaty malts. Moderate carbonation. Pretty decent, maybe a bit on the sweet side.

Taster after another freaking crazy weekend 🤪 Appearance: hazy pale straw with a white head. Aroma: some not very delicate spice, raw water, malty. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: meh.

Poured from the tap. Hazy gold with small white head. Good dose of coriander and spice along with the wit quality. Not bad.

Bright yellow body of slight translucense and a bit of foamy white head. Soft dough and paper aroma. Flavour is more dough with a hint of citrus, and a medium finish. Not bad, a little not enough wheaty really for this witbier.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy pale blond color. Delicate spicy Wit, the light residual sweetness and light fruity esters contribute to the balance. Pleasant.

650 ml bottle. Pours amber with full white head. Aromas of wheat and spicy coriander. Muted flavors of malted wheat, chalk, and dry coriander. Lots of carbonation.

Hazy. More tan than white. Has an estery, slightly yeasty nose, and there is some sweet malt. But also phenols in the direction of smoked electrical wire. Ok but those yeast issues...really uncharacteristic of Dageraad.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a good punch of coriander, light citrus and wheat. Flavour is soft and rather complex for the style, with a good dose of coriander, light citrus and soft pillowy wheat. Whispy palate, with light-medium carbonation. Nicely done.
