Limited seasonal beer. This classic German Pilsner is crisp, dry, and balanced. Honey and toasted bread notes from the malt are balanced by a clean bitterness with a slight earthy/grassy hop character.

On tap at the brewery. Okay foggy yellow and a bit of foam on top. Soft grains on the nose. Flavour is mellow yellow grains with a bit of a lemon finish. Medium on the mouth ,not crisp. Simply okay, lacking the sharpness of a good pilsner.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of grassy notes, with some corn, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is nice and grassy, with light hops and crisp biscuity malt. Nicely constructed, no nonsense German pils. Very good.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, as ’Pilsner! Pilsner! Pilsner!’
Hazy blond color, compact head. Mild grassy hops in the aroma (6.5). Good malt quality, bread, cereals; could have more impact with a more structured body and drier mouthfeel; good hop presence, the bitterness level is a bit below German standards, hence the final is sweetish, but the grassy qualities of the hop are there.
Timid, but clean, pleasant.
